About Us
Our History
Established in 1972 by Meher F. Ali, our school is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. We are accredited by the American Montessori Society and have dedicated, experienced teachers who carry Montessori certification and Illinois state teaching degrees.
Our Philosophy: "Respect for the Child"
The Montessori approach to learning is based on a child's innate desire to learn as well as the need for intellectual stimulation and direction. Parents, teachers, and children form a loving community and family for the learner, enhancing self-development during the critical time when a child's intelligence is being formed.
Program Overview
We encourage the development of your child's knowledge by taking advantage of the child's natural desire to learn without too much help from a teacher. Using the Montessori method, our teachers observe each child carefully as they work in an attractive and comfortable environment consisting of low shelves, child-sized tables and chairs, and small floor mats.
Our curriculum is based on learning through affection, love, patience, understanding, belonging, and most of all, by doing. The structure of our program consists of the following three main groups:

Full day Programs: 7am - 6 pm (optional early arrival at 6:30am and/or early dismissal at 6:30 pm)
Morning Programs: 9 am - 12 pm.
Part Time Programs: 4 hours or less are considered part time.
